Team members attended the launch in Cape Town of the Global Freedom Consulting Agency in April 2026, which is a pioneering initiative that positions formerly incarcerated people as global experts in justice reform. For the team members that attended, the event highlighted how lived experience could be reframed as a legitimate form of knowledge and leadership, challenging traditional hierarchies in criminal justice policy and promoting more transformative, community-led approaches to research and reform.
